Fees & Costs To represent a case through either the Court of Special Appeals or
Court of Appeals there are three (3) cost factors:
Transcript of proceedings - You can contact the
trial court reporter to find out exactly how much your transcript will cost. For a one day
trial, expect to pay $250.00 - $500.00
Printing of briefs, and in civil cases, extracts
- Brief and extract costs are more difficult to predict, but tend to run between $250.00
and $1,200.00 in most cases.
Attorney Fees - Most appeals will cost from $4,000.00 up, depending on whether you are appellant or appellee, the size of the record
(court's file), the complexity of the subject matter and the number of
issues raised. The majority of appeals in cases with 2 days of trial or
less can be performed by me for approximately $10,000.00.
